Exercise TV

I arrived home tonight with not a lot of steam left. I may have been slightly disgruntled to have to go into the office today. My car looked like an ice sculpture and Andrew wasn’t going to be home for another 2 hours with his.

I decided to do an at home workout, specifically Turbo Sculpt.

I was heartbroken when I realized that my DVD was scratched and kept skipping.

I started perusing the web, and discovered ExerciseTV.com

I got a great toning/sculpting workout!

Check it out!  There are TONS of great workout videos.

Thats all she wrote for tonight guys. Time for a little Entourage in bed! Goodnight!

Back to the grind tomorrow

Today was spent running errands and such. I drove Andrew to work so I could drive his car as opposed to my death trap on wheels. I take public transportation to work to avoid paying the astronomical parking downtown, and as a result I don’t give my car the TLC it deserves. I think I’m due for some brakes!

I started the day out by procuring some new runners, as I needed to use my 30% off coupon at the Running Room before Jan 31st. I went with old faithful: Asics GT 2150. The are getting more and more hideous looking, but they fit me perfectly. I’ll just have to tolerate their moonshoes-like appearance.

Next I headed off to the gym to give my shoes a test drive on the treadmill. They worked great. I ran for 65 mins before throwing in the towel.

Andrew and I had hoped to see Avatar in 3D, but once again today it was sold out.

I arrived home and made the motherload of oatmeal. It was sooo good. I hit up the Bulk Barn yesterday to replenish my “topping” stash. On today’s bowl: craisins, raisins, pumpkin seeds, milk chocolate chips, buttered peanuts and chia seeds. SOOO good.

After the oatmeal deliciousness, I cranked Grooveshark and cleaned like a crazy lady. Cleaned all 3 bathrooms, vacuumed, polished the hardwood, and dusted.

Took a long hot bath reading Wally Lamb’s new book.

I made a random dinner. We need groceries, but I didn’t feel like going to the store so I made due with what we had in stock. I made a chicken/broccoli casserole, roasted fingerling potatoes, mixed veggies and a slice of WW bread.  Random, but tasty!

Back to work tomorrow. I’m not really thrilled about this AT ALL. Hopefully it will be a quiet day.

Night!

Recap

It feels weird being behind in the blog… I’ve just had so much to post about I didn’t want to overwhelm you all with one million posts.

Yesterday started out with this: Coffee misto made with non-fat milk and some sugar free cinnamon dolce syrup from Starbys.

IMG_1677  Much to my dismay, the weather was horrid. Freezing rain all day. This was the view from my kitchen window.IMG_1680_1  Breakfast was pretty much amazing. Pumpkin French toast made with baguette topped with FF cool whip, 2 slices of bacon, banana and pomegranate with maple syrup for dipping. YUM!IMG_1682We spent the day indoors, vegging on the couch.  The kitties chose to do the same. We caught them quasi-snuggling. They act all tough guy, and pretend they hate each other… but look what goes on behind closed doors. The were TOUCHING while sleeping!

Lots of people have big dinners on Boxing Day. Not us. We had Annie’s with broccoli, zucchini and mushrooms, served with a slice of whole wheat bread.

IMG_1759  There was a lot of glutonny also. My MIL makes the best fudge ever and sent us home with a huge container of it. I ate A LOT of it.

Today started off on a good note too. A bowl of Just Right cereal, a salad in a glass and some good old h20.

I had big plans to go to Body Combat today. When I arrived at the gym, there was a sign on the door explaining that they were running on generators so there was no group classes, no treadmills, no sauna and no tredmills. I was pretty ticked, but decided to make the most of it. I did a 30 min total body workout and 30 mins on the elliptical. Felt good to get my sweat on.

After the gymbo, we went to the movies. We had planned to see Avatar at the IMAX, but it was sold out so we saw “Its Complicated”. It was pretty cute.

Went out to dinner at Casey’s afterwards. I had the Stacked Sandwich and a bowl of chicken noodle soup.

I’m glad that I’m off tomorrow. One more day to relax. I have big plans to hit up the gymbo, procure some new shoes and maybe go to Henry’s to try and do a price match on my camera. Let’s just say the Boxing Day sales were about $300 cheaper than what I paid!

I can’t believe I forgot to show you guys my new Christmas ornament I got from my Daddio. Some may appreciate it more then others. :)

Secret Santa Loot!

As I mentioned before, some of my blogger friends and I had a secret santa exchange.

Farmgirl was my Secret Santa.

I couldn’t to rip into her prezzie on Christmas morning.

I was so touched by what she sent!

IMG_1628

1) A refillable water cup from Starby’s. I’m not sure if she read my tweet about this or not, but I actually took a picture of this cup on my BB and posted it with the caption “I WANT” haha.

2) Some jauuuuuum, aka, Jam. I know Cat is reading this and is totally jealous.

3) Some samples from the baking exchange the Halibloggers did. I was so touched she would share her loot with me! Here’s a shot of Andrew' enjoying one of Angie’s squares.

4) A beautiful Angel ornament. I’m big on giving ornaments for gift… as I love the sentiment that goes along with it. Now every year I’ll have a little piece of Lesley on my tree! :) I hung it up promptly…   IMG_1635

A huge thank you to the wonderful Lesley. Thank you for making my Christmas a little brighter! :) xoox

Christmas Morning Dog Park Moments

We spent a couple hours on Christmas Morning in doggie paradise.

Some local ladies were giving away coffee and Baileys, doggie cookies and other festive treats for a donation to the Humane Society. What a great idea, and amazing cause.

We happened to meet up with Anne, her hubby and their adorable dog Riley the Golden-Doodle. Idiot me had my camera hanging around my neck the whole time and didn’t snap a single picture. Idiot!

It was a beautiful and milk morning. Perfect for photo shoots! Usually I just show you the final product… but I wanted to show you the effort behind the shoot. Luckily I have a very patient husband and an obedient dog.

And finally, what I call the money shot. How perfect is she? :)

IMG_1519

We managed to snap some other fun shots.

Post photo she saw something and managed to knock me over, here’s me in mid-flight to the ground!

IMG_1554

Speaking of mid-flight, here’s Jersey caught mid air… thanks to sport mode on my camera.

 IMG_1594

This is her new trick. You say “bang” and make your hand into a gun, and she falls over and plays dead.

IMG_1599

It was a wonderful way to start our Christmas morning together, and a wonderful new tradition that we hope to continue for years to come!

Merry Christmas to all! :)

Coffee snob no longer...

Working on the satellite office means absolutely NO coffee, or even a place to make it.

I have resorted to making my own. This is even INSTANT.

God, what have I become?
